Star Ledger is built to work without asking you for personal information. This page explains exactly what we hold, why, and how long we keep it.

1. What we collect

When you open Star Ledger through Telegram, Telegram passes us your Telegram user ID, display name, and username (if set). We use this to identify your account. We do not ask for your email address, phone number, or any other personal data.

We also store the following data created by your use of the service:

  • Your in-app TON balance and transaction history.
  • TON wallet addresses you submit for withdrawal.
  • Referral links you generate and conversions attributed to them.
  • The IP address you connect from, the approximate city and network it maps to, and a technical signature of your device (its type, screen size, language and time zone). We record this when you open the app and when you sell or withdraw.

We use that last item for one purpose only: fraud prevention. It lets us detect when a single person operates several accounts to abuse the referral programme or to repeat payment reversals. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with other users.

2. What we do not collect

We do not collect your phone number, email, precise GPS location, or payment card details. We do not read your messages or contacts. We do not build profiles for advertising purposes. We do not sell or share your data with third parties, except as required to operate the service (see section 4). The network and device information described in section 1 is used solely to prevent fraud.

3. Website analytics

The starledger.info website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymous usage statistics, pages visited, referral sources, and general geographic region. This data is aggregated and not linked to your Telegram account. You can opt out using your browser's ad-blocking or cookie-blocking settings.

4. Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Star Ledger:

  • Telegram, authentication and bot messaging. Governed by Telegram's own privacy policy.
  • TON blockchain, withdrawal transactions are broadcast to the public TON network and are permanently visible on-chain.
  • MongoDB Atlas, our database provider. Data is stored on servers in the EU/US and encrypted at rest.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction and withdrawal records are kept for accounting purposes. If you want your data deleted, contact us and we will remove your account and all associated records within 14 days.

6. Security

All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Database access is restricted to our infrastructure. We do not store private keys or wallet seed phrases.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will post an update here and note the revised date at the top of this page.
